The roasted Maple neck has astonishing flame, is perfectly quartersawn and feels exquisite to play with it’s hand finished oil and wax surface.
‘Tom’s Secret Stash’ refers only to the very finest pieces of Maple that I can source straight from the Maple forests of Nova Scotia, Canada.
This beautiful Emperor has a ‘found under Grandpas’s bed’ sort of finish.
The satin paint work is smooth to the touch and very clean.
The hardware is subtly aged and there are a few tiny knocks on the headstock and body.
All the ageing on the hardware matches beautifully.
Both pickups have a series-parallel switching option via the two Anomaly knobs, giving a great ‘split’ sound but retaining the humbucking quiet - NO HUM in any ANY position!
